City in Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex; Popular for lively town square; City High School recently won State Championship- Several wealthy cities surround the community such as: Colleyville, Grapevine, and North Richland Hills
Southlake and Colleyville share many similarites. Colleyville is prime example of what Southlake is most like. Shopping; Town Square & Village, High Schools; Dragons & Panthers
"Only in south lakes are you able to walk through the green subschool at any given time and smell alcohol, tobaco, atleast two different illegal narcotics AND all eight scents of axe trying to cover it up"
dude1:"sh!t my allergies are acting up i can't smell anything.."
dude2:"Yo just walk through green on your way to DriversED"
A very stereotyped place whom contains a few people like the stereotype that run around other cities like Grapevine and Keller to brag about their wealth and ruin it for the other 97.68% of Southlake's population. On other hand, Southlake's Town Square now has a curfew because jealous punks from those cities come to Town Square and cause knife fights...thanks a million.
I am from Grapevine and will go to SOUTHLAKE TOWN SQUARE to start trouble because I am bored.
Recently I read a definition about the town I grew up in. I didn't know whether to laugh or get pissed so I'll just write this. Southlake was once four communities. Lonesome Dove, Whites Chapel, Jellico, and Union Church were separate small unincorporated communities of pioneers from the early 1840's until 1956 - four years after Grapevine Lake was completed. The town was named for its geographical location to the man-made Grapevine Lake: and man called it Southlake - and it was good. There is a Northlake, Texas also. It is in Denton County, North of Flower Mound, West of Argyle and is served by Northwest ISD. Southlake Carroll schools are great. In the last 5 school years there has only been one drop out. People move from elsewhere to join our football team (jeopardizing our chance at a title), but we still do well. Yes, we are wealthy. Most of us are "New Money". There are some "Old Money" families, but not many. Yes, the Jonas Brothers do have a house in Westlake - a town of about 400 people, served by Carroll Schools and mostly considered a neighborhood of Southlake. Some of the guys are d-bags, but most of them aren't. There are a lot of "Southlake Moms" who have never worked a day in their lives yet still cannot cook, but there are also a lot of Working Moms also. "Southlake Girls" can be coke whores and sluts, but a lot of them are really smart and genuine. In reality, Southlake is diverse in its own right and has been the home of many successful people.
I love bashing Southlake and all of it's residents even though I know next to nothing about the town.
