Snoop took the name "Snoop Doggy Dogg" when he began recording, but changed it to Snoop Dogg in 1996 when he left his original label Death Row Records and signed with No Limit Records. Afterwards, many of Snoops cousins became succesful rappers (and collaboraters of Aftermath Records). These names included RBX, Nate Dogg and Daz Dillinger. As a rapper, snoop happens to be known for his laid back aproach to rapping, often slurring the words over the mic, keeping it rhyming and REAL! Snoop Dogg is also known for his Marijuana use (what he refers to as "Smokin that real shit" or "Touchin that real STICKY ICKY ICKY!!", his mysonigyst lyrics and complicity in a 1993 fatal shooting.
