To be feeling terrible after a hard night of drinking. Usually attributed to students and persons of a younger age than thrity-five.

To feel absolutely buggered after doing an activity that requires copious amounts of energy.

Damn Sloan, I feel pretty shadbolted after last night mate.

I heard he felt rather shadbolted after last night.

Geez, I hope I won't feel shadbolted tomorrow.
