A word often used by black gangsta rappers to address each other, or just refer to each other in a brotherly way. And for some reason it's okay for them to use the word and no one else.
If any other race uses the word, especially white people, it's grounds for war, because the definition is supposedly inferred to mean "you are beneath me and meant to serve me."
Of course, it's completely "fine" for the niggas to refer to ANY woman, no matter what the color of her skin, as a bitch or a ho' - which is also used to imply that " you are beneath me, and meant to serve me."
You can't say the 'n' word on the radio or TV, for fear of offending a particular race. But you hear 'bitch' and ho' all the time, regardless of the women it might offend...

Nigga is slang for Nigger. Nigger is slang for Negro. Negro is an abreviation of the word Negroid which is the scientific classification for people of black descent. How much more can you hack a words origin into unrecognisable bullshit? An alternate spelling and phonetic synonym of the word Negus which is an Ethiopian word meaning KING. Nigga is often incorrectly associated with the word (nigger) which is a derogatory term used by non blacks meaning ignorant or coward. Because of this association, the term Nigga has been viewed by many as a derogatory term also.

It can be simply thought of as a tremendously stupid way of saying nigger People who think that they're clever by saying "nigga" are obviously the opposite. Black kids who call each other this name are idiots, so are white kids, and so is anyone else who says it out of its proper context, period. A slang word that is ignorant to African ancestors which includes African-Americans. It does not boost image of black people in any form or manner despite the intention. It is self damaging.
It's also asking to be seen as victims regardless that their equity to date is equal in the social and business world. The word may be causing negative consequences in same cases.

A word many African Americans (including myself) have differing opinions about:
1.A slang word meaning friend or another person.
2.A new version of a degrating term that means an ignorant black person. Used over a hundred years ago by slave owners and still carries a lot of hostility.
Although it is hypocritical for blacks and some hispanics to say it and not let whites do the same, it has always confused me as to why whites want to so badly.
