A character from the original manga redone into an anime, Kikyou was a monotoned miko (priestess). One day soldiers came and gave her the duty to protect the Shikon no Tama (or Shikon no kakera) and she accepted without any protest. In her original life she was very misunderstood, the life of a miko was very hard to do, proecting the lives of her villagers and sister, she did not have time to play and be a regular woman. She came into contact with an hanyou (half breed) Inuyasha and they fell in love. Their ends were tragic and both fell to trickery, and she died along with burned Shikon. She was later reborn into Kagome and came back to the past to "finish" her duties. Her soul was divided and split into a body of clay and dirt, and now her vengeful fake body roams the lands with only one thing in mind, to bring Inuyasha to hell, for she thinks he had betrayed her, those many years before.
Also known as Kikyo thanks to the mistold English translaters.

1. A character in the anime/manga Inuyasha. She is priestess who was Inuyasha's first lover. Her job was to protect the Shikon Jewel (also known as Shikon no Tama). Her dream was to live a simple life of a woman and no longer be a priestess. She planned to give the jewel to Inuyasha, so he could give his wish and she would no longer have to guard it, but was fatally wounded by Naraku, who was disguised as Inuyasha, also wanting the jewel for himself. She died after sealing Inuyasha to a tree, believing he was the one who killed her. Her body was burned to ashes along with the Shikon Jewel. Her soul was reincarnated into Kagome, as well as the Shikon Jewel was relocated in her body. Fifty years later, she was brought back to life by a witch, but her body was that of dirt, clay and her ashes. Since the witch didn't grant her full soul from Kagome, she relies on the souls of women to stay alive. Stubborn and vengeful, she spends the time in the series devoted to bring Inuyasha to hell with her. Her loyalties are only to herself. She is also known as Kikyo.
Kikyou was a priestess during the Feudal Era.

An exceptionally powerful miko/priestess. has a hot body.. has a weird crush on Inuyasha, nobody knows why - except for the fact that every time she sees him, Kagome isn't with them, and she has a "mission" for him that he must complete in order to protect Kagome and herself. Only wears makeup when around and upon meeting Inuyasha, you see - also, tries to kill Inuyasha every time they *ahem* have a 'friendly little chat'.

She's really pretty. Has an icy cold stare, probably the coolest look to any character in the manga, and the warmest personality known to man, and Inuyasha.

She's really pure.
