Pretty self-explanatory - someone who thinks they're a hipster.
This type of person is in abundance on Twitter, usually with the screen name 'Sheldon Cooper'. They also have a habit of ending tweets with 'though', despite the actual tweet having no relation to anything. They also use other annoying buzzwords on Twitter. In addition to this, they think that liking The Big Bang Theory and bacon makes them look really edgy and random, and they all seem to think they're socially awkward despite tweeing their life stories to thousands of followers.
Commonly confused with real hipsters. However, whilst real hipsters stay true to the definition and listen to obscure, unheard of musical acts, Hipster Wannabes like currently popular acts despite them thinking that they're alternative for doing so, such as OFWGKTA, You Me At Six, Two Door Cinema Club, Arctic Monkeys and Foster The People.
They are an evolution of the Scene Kid from the mid-2000s, only more obnoxious and pretentious, and even less self-aware.

Someone who identifies as a hipster.
Calling oneself a hipster completely goes against the purpose of being one. A wannabe hipster also probably does not know anything about the indie kid movement during the 2000s, which is what the 30+ year old hipsters of the 2010s became.
Also, a hipster wannabe follows out-dated hipster trends such as listening to Arctic Monkeys, Fleet Foxes, Kaspian, Halsey, Marina and the Diamonds and The Blockheads, riding a fixie, shopping at American Apparel and Urban Outfitters. As such things have become part of the mainstream now. Hipster "clothing" is mainstream and trendy now. You are not a hipster.
Being a hipster would be being scene because it's unpopular and dead.

These people tend to wear colorful skinny jeans, Converse, Vans, T-shirts from Hot Topic and Delia's, wear Jac Vanek bracelets, straighten their hair, listen to punk goes pop bands such as NeverShoutNever, All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Cute is What We Aim For, The Academy Is..., Cobra Starship, etc. and think that just because there are tons of bands within that same punk pop genre, certain bands are more obscure than others, and these obscure bands are "indie".
*They may also believe that they are so hipster because they hate Twilight, but they like Harry Potter.

Someone who thinks they are totes cool for writing, drawing, and speaking of triangles. They wear vintage clothes and always brag about how "hipster" they are when they probably should go read the definitions of Hipster and get it through their mind that they arent hipsters, they try too hard, and they have it all wrong.

An individual that tries really hard to be a hipster. Some succeed and become a real or true hipster and some... not so much. These are the individuals in the hipster culture that are "too cool" to do stuff or have the "too good for you" mentality. They are often the trend followers in the hipster culture but still is considered a trend starter by many, especially in the non-hipster society(real world).
friend: lets go to this bar
wannabe hipster: thats lame, we're better than that (deep inside he really wants to go but is too worried that others might see him)
