1)verb. To encourage or coerce people to befriend each other. a social matchmaker of the platonic variety.

2)noun. A friend you have made as an engineering student while spending ridiculous amounts of time studying with them.

when Betty says "you just have to meet my friend Jane, you two would get along so great" Betty is trying to friengineer.

when you spend a majority of your time with someone studying for classes, and your friendship is primarily based on this studying, they are your friengineer.
