Depopification

The act of listening to indie music in order to cleanse the ears of pop music.

I all I have heard for the past week is Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Bruno Mars. I'm going to need a depopification.

Depopification

When something becomes insufferable because the upper class gentrifies it, usually in reference to music or clothing. Comes from the word "depop" which is a notoriously overpriced reselling app.
