4-HO-DMT, which stands for 4-hydroxy-n,n-dimethyltryptamine, is the chemical name for the drug psilocin, which is found in many species of psychedelic ("magic") mushrooms. 4-HO-DMT has a very high safety profile, there are no known overdoses that I know of (you would have to take SO MUCH).
The drugs responsible for the main psychedelic effects of magic mushrooms are psilocin and psilocybin. Psilocybin, which is 4-PO-DMT, converts into psilocin in the brain after ingestion because the molecule is too big to pass through the blood brain barrier.
Pure psilocin is sometimes obtained by synthesizing it in its pure form or extracting it from mushrooms. This is very rare and you are much much more likely to stumble upon mushrooms. An average eighth (3.5g) of mushrooms contains around 15mg of pure psilocin. So you can figure out the dose from that.
The experience usually lasts 4-7 hours total (shorter than LSD), and is characterized by laughing a lot and feeling very relaxed. There are open and closed eye visuals, pupil dilation, and a general "mindfuck" aspect to it. It is sometimes referred to as orally active DMT or long-lasting DMT.

I just took 30mg of pure 4-HO-DMT hydrochloride. That's the equivalent of around 7 grams of psilocin/psilocybin-containing mushrooms. I'm going to be incapacitated for the next 8 hours or so, so don't bug me or try to freak me out.

4-ACO-DMT (4-acetoxy-n,n-dimethyltryptamine), or O-Acetylpsilocin, is a psychedelic drug (hallucinogenic) in the tryptamine class of drugs (like LSD and psilocybin). It is the acetylated form of the psychedelic mushroom alkaloid psilocin (4-HO-DMT). It is a more stable compound than psilocin, and has a longer shelf life. It is commonly called "psilacetin" among its users. It is usually found in crystalline/powder form, in either it's fumarate or HCl salt. The dosage varies between 10 and 25mg. 25mg is approximately equal to 4 grams of good psychedelic mushrooms (17mg of psilocin, there is approx. 15mg of psilocin in a good 1/8th ounce of mushrooms). The effects are VERY similar to a mushroom trip, except it lasts a little longer than mushrooms (around 7 hours). Its effects, however, differ somewhat from mushrooms. It seems to have a much more relaxing quality to it, which makes it harder to have a bad trip. Several available reports of 4-ACO-DMT compare it favorably to psilocybin, describing it as more euphoric, gentle, warm, and colorful. It has also been described as less jarring/scary, and less likely to produce nausea. I and everyone I have talked to who has tried it loves it (most more than mushrooms). Users report dose-dependent colorful visual effects and a sense of physical energy or euphoria, sometimes accompanied by abstract, associative, "trippy" thought patterns, or derealization. It is almost always taken orally, but can be taken by other methods. It is not specifically illegal or scheduled in the USA, but it may be considered an analogue of psilocybin/psilocin, the illegal chemical in psychedelic mushrooms, because up to 90% of the chemical hydroxylizes into psilocin in your brain after ingestion.
As of 2007, it is a novel compound with relatively little availability. It is usually ordered from the internet through various research chemical distributors for between $130 and $200 per gram.
It is truly an awesome compound. It doesn't have a "research chemical" like body load, or even an unpleasant come-up. It can be truly and deeply psychedelic and visionary, just as much as more mainstream psychedelics like LSD, DMT, psilocybin, and mescaline can be. If you like mushrooms, you'll love this one. It's a gem indeed.

5-MeO-DMT, which stands for 5-methoxy-n,n-dimethyltryptamine, is an extremely potent and intense psychedelic tryptamine. It's safety profile is pretty much like that of other psychedelics. Unlike it's illegal counterpart DMT, 5-MeO-DMT is not specifically scheduled (illegal) in the USA. However, its effects can be much more intense than DMT itself.
While DMT is more of a visual drug, 5-MeO-DMT is more of a "mindfuck" type drug. There are some visuals, but it is just basically like the universe imploding into your head, a huge mindfuck, which can be extremely scary or extremely blissful. The "place" where you go when you smoke it is often called The Void. This drug is the most common drug to cause ++++ (plus 4) experiences (see the Shulgin Scale in TiHKAL/PiHKAL). This drug will either make you shit yourself (not literally) in fear or give you an awesome blissful and transcendental experience (if you know how to handle it).
5-MeO-DMT is found in many natural sources, including many many plants and trees (There is usually DMT in the plant as well. Different species of different plants have different ratios/concentrations of these drugs). It is probably best known for being found in the Bufo Alvarius toad venom, along with 5-HO-DMT (AKA Bufotenine, which is not a pleasant psychedelic).
In its salt form, it can be snorted or injected. In it's more common freebase form, it is most often vaporized in a thin glass pipe, like methamphetamine. This leads to an intense psychedelic experience lasting 5-15 minutes, often accompanied by vomiting and muscle tremors. The dosage is 2-15mg in its freebase form. I would recommend starting your dose very low, so that you do not break through the first time. Also, ALWAYS make sure someone sober is with you and watching you (you move and shake a lot uncontrollably), ESPECIALLY if you do 10mg or more. Make sure your trip sitter grabs the pipe from you once you're done so you don't drop/break it.

Someone before me said that this drug is "foxy", which is actually 5-MeO-DiPT (which has EXTREMELY different effects, not even similar). It is not foxy, and if you get the two mixed up you will probably have a very, very bad experience.

My friend smoked 15mg of 5-MeO-DMT freebase to his dome the other day. Another friend of mine and I had to physically restrain him for about 5-7 minutes, all the while he had vomited on himself and was screaming swear words at the top of his lungs. The whole time, his whole body was shaking violently from muscle tremors and we had to keep him from hitting his head on the wall. Once he came out of it, he thought that he was laying on my bed in peace the whole time, having a great trip.

N,N-DMT is a shortenend name of N,N-dimethyltryptamine. Most commonly named *DMT*, it is a psychedelic tryptamine that makes a very intense trip. N,N-DMT is produced natrually by the brain and is thought to be produced by the pineal gland (which is also the body's biological clock) which is located ner the center of the brain, N,N-DMT is released when you die. The methods of intake are:
Smoking: Onset comes around 15 - 30 seconds, the smoke tastes like burning plastic.
Oral: N,N-DMT is only psychoactive orally when taken with a MAOI (Monoamine oxidase inhibiter).
Snorting: Same as smoking it, only effects last longer and are milder.
Injection: Mostly the same as smoking.
DMT is scheduled is most countries.

Also known as the businessman's trip for it's quick onset and short peak. Extremely potent psychedellic in very very small amounts. Experience is often referred to as "The Void". It lasts only a few minutes but feels like an eternity.
