To call an incomprehisible play in a football game (when a more humble approach is more prudent) costing your team points and possibly the game--as with Bill Belichick's decision to go for it on 4th and 2 on his own 28 with a late 6-point lead against the Colts.

Nick Saban should have just punted on 4th and 23 in his first possession of the game, but his ego forced him to Belichick it with the fake, leading to a field goal for Texas.
