An abbreviation of the year 2010. It follows a pattern that started in 2000 by abbreviating the year 2K, then 2K1, all the way until 2K9. In order to keep the term 3 characters long, though, X, the roman numeral for 10, is used instead of the actual number.

Something some fucking idiot put on here saying that K in Roman numerals means 1000, while it is in fact a metric abbreviation for Kilo, Latin for -thousand, not one or specifically any numeration of thousand(s), simply the prefix "-thousand"

2KX is an abbreviation of the number 2010... where 2K refers to 2000 (K being the scientific notation of 1000) and X is the Roman numeral 10.
