This phrase is commonly used to imply that you don't really care. Mostly used after lengthy discussions, and boring topics.

Girl 1: I was eating a burrito, and suddenly i forgot my guacamole! So i rushed to the store, but they were all out. All they had were fajitas, so i grabbed one of those and headed back. Can you believe that?
Girl 2: cool story, bro. Now go make me a sandwich.

Snortingly-sarcastic term for a shyster's/villain's huffily acting like he's a conscientious peaceable virtuous caring-about-fellow-humans person who shouldn't be suspected or criticized, when of course in reality he's just a self-centered a**h**e who's totally undeserving of any praise or respect.

A prime example of someone's deciding to use this shameless tactic would be in "The Untouchables" with Kevin Costner --- when Elliot Ness angrily confronts Al Capone on the stairway and accuses him of murdering people and otherwise being a horrid crook, Capone indignantly lashes out right back at Ness for his "talking that way in front of Capone's son"... Ness's feelings would therefore be something like, Capone decided to go all "family man" on me --- how infuriatingly disgusting!

How someone refers to another person's forcefully admonishing him to donate one or more of his prized possessions to a historical-society collection ("That beLONGS in a muSEUM!"), rather than his selfishly either hoarding it in his own private collection or (even more horrifying) selling it for personal profit.

Antiques collector: I knew that the head of the local heritage-preservation lodge was a bit fanatical about collecting and displaying vintage images and artifacts from the area, but I never expected him to go all Indiana Jones on me when I showed him my collection of old coins and arrowheads that I'd found in the area here over the years.
