It could be the flesh of a cow, bull, or ox, used as food. Or it could be flesh or muscle, typically when well developed. And last but not least, beef could mean like a hatred between two ppl, groups or communities. It could also mean to complain. That is verb form.

That man needs more beef on his bones.(Noun)
He was beefing about how the recession was killing the business (verb)

Cows (which is where Beef comes from) are basically concentrated gras. I suppose there’s some milk and water there to.
