A Google-made laptop that runs a Linux-based software. Go to any school, and you'll find students using them. Cannot run .exe files, can't run any game without exploding, and is useless without a fast internet connection. They are generally very quick machines that cost only up to $350.

School Chromebooks tend to lag and crash due to the sheer amount of Google accounts that lazy students don't bother to remove. Open one up at school and you're bound to find a missing key or two, and maybe a wrecked touchpad.

A crappy laptop that costs from $200 to $1649, has stupid commercials that claim that it has “fast bootup times” because it’s operating system is so light that a Pentium 4 can run it efficiently, says that it has “built in virus-protection” which is basically locking it down so it can’t run Windows or Linux programs, and schools basically taking advantage of its chrome extension and policy editor to lock these devices down even more and take away ALL of your privacy, and finally says that it has “long 12 hour battery life” while you could get a LG Gram, set your windows battery setting to power savings, and then have the same battery life, the same bootup time, and better virus protection than google chrome.
School Adminstrators: It’s time to buy our cheap laptops we get every 5 years. Students, what should we get?
Students: iPads please!
School Administrators: Did we hear $200 Chromebooks? Alright!
Students: Well, that was unexpected
