Audioslave

A band formed from the ashes of Rage against the machine and Soundgarden. Chris Cornell from soundgarden and the other three from Rage against the machine. This is similar to velvet revolver, where the band consists of Guns N roses (Minus Axl), a lead singer (scott weiland), and an extra guitarist (Dave Kushner). The combination of both Chris Cornell's unique voice along with the flawless guitar and drums creates an unmatched sound that is just about as unique as.... a 9 legged antelope.

I went to an Audioslave concert last night after I picked up their self titled CD - "Audioslave" Their new one will be out late 2004 or early 2005!

The Pheonix risen from the broken bands Soundgarden and Rage Against the machine. Chris Cornell leads de la Rocha's old buddies Tom Morello, Timmy Commerfield, and Brad Wilk as their vocalist in this Post-Grunge/Alt-Rock band. Their self-titled album audioslave contains such classics as Like a Stone, Chochise, Shadow of the Sun (used on the Collateral soundtrack, and I am the highway.

A decent band, now defunct. Formed by ex-members of Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden.

Not as good as Rage or Soundgarden, but then few bands are.

Audioslave have now broken up, but Rage have reformed so it's okay.

FACT: Rage Against the Machine is one of the best bands ever. Zach de la Rocha is one of the greatest musicians ever to walk on the Earth. Tom Morello is one of the greatest guitarists ever.

FACT:Chris Cornell of Soundgarden writes lyrics like a kindergardener.

FACT: Listening to engenius music as a backdrop of Chris Cornell's lyrics makes for an akward expierience.

Brad Wilk is hammering the drums.

Tim Commerford is rocking on the bass.

Tom Morello is wailing on the Guitar.

Chris Cornell sings, "I've been wanderin sideways, I stared straight into the sun!"

Somewhere, Zach de la Rocha wakes up in a cold sweat.

Audioslave

A band who can't decide whether they're the new Soundgarden or not. Nine times out of ten, you probably couldn't tell an Audioslave track apart from a Soundgarden track. I still like them though.

They're confused as hell, but they still make good music. Cornell + Morello = Win.
