Oscarbait

A film created for the purpose of winning academy awards. These films usually include musical numbers, biographies,
period dramas, inspirational stories, pretty actors putting on makeup to look ugly, an actor using an accent that is foreign to them, playing someone who is mentally challenged or a homosexual and the casting of Cate Blanchette.
Sean: Did you see that new movie where Nancy Regan helps teach Dingos how to read in 1950's Mississippi all while falling in love with the blind singer who is trying to get a lead role on Broadway?

Jim: The new Cate Blanchette Movie? Nah looked like total Oscarbait. Why would there be a movie with Dingos and Nancy Regan

Oscarbaiting

When a director, producer or actor does a project that is a transparent, blatant attempt to win an Oscar... Usually with disastrous results.
I just saw War Horse. I wish Spielberg would stop Oscarbaiting and get back to making movies people want to see.

oscarbation

The process of making an Oscar-bait movie.
"Alright, I'm going to make a movie. It'll be a compelling human drama, probably set in the past, examining the importance of friendship and self-discovery, but doesn't do anything to challenge contemporary ideas and reaffirming that the past was terrible for a certain group of people, but we've moved past that now. Starring Morgan Freeman and Tom Hanks."

"Yeah, I could go for some good Oscarbation too"

Hate Draft

1. Select a player (real or fantasy) during a sports draft to spite or anger one or more of your opponents because they had intended to select him/her.

2. Select a player (real or fantasy) during a sport draft to put one or more of your opponents at a strategic disadvantage.
1. Billy hate drafted Chad OchoCinco because he knew Sam had wanted him since he is from Cincinnati. Billy already had plenty of players to fill that position but wanted to make sure Sam didn't get him.

2. Billy hate drafted Peyton Manning because he was the only good quarterback left and he knew Sam had been planning on drafting him.
