A person, usually an American but can be any nationality aside from British, who is addicted to using British terms, phrases, and idioms. In addition, the wankaholic often misuses the British expressions he believes he is using correctly. The term is a combination of the words, "wanker," a derogatory British expression, and "alcoholic," a person who is addicted to alcohol.
American: That movie was bloody good!
Brit: "Bloody good?" What are you, a wankaholic?
Brit #1: My American friend Milo is a real wankaholic.
Brit #2: What makes you say that?
Brit #1: Every time he sees someone he doesn't like, he calls them a "wanker."
A person who is addicted to working, to the point where their life consists only of work and sleep. They have very few friends, if any, and some rarely see their own families.
Workaholics often suffer from fatigue, sleeping disorders, stress and stress-related ailments, and some eventually work themselves to death. Workaholics are a common sight in some East Asian countries, but are less prevalent in North America and even less in Europe.
Jimmy neglects his family so he can spend more time working, he's a workaholic.
A Comedy Central show that first aired in early April of 2011 and is absolutely hilarious. It follows three friends living and working together after college. Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine and Anders Holm star in this scripted comedy where they spend their days selling time shares and their nights partying. Even though college ended, the fun hasn't.
