A song that an otherwise respectable female can claim as hers and use as an excuse to let loose her inner hoe for the entire duration of that particular song. When announcing 'this is my hoe song' when the particular song comes on, it is implied that the person you are for the next 2-3 minutes is in fact NOT the person you actually are, and any judgement from your sorroundings will thus be unjust.
OMG, This is (SO) my Hoe song!

Get the Hoe song mug.
A figurative description of an attitude towards life, as well as your immediate and distant surroundings. When you refer to yourself or someone else 'just Jerking off and smoking Newports',, you are simply trying to convey that you/they are not letting anything current issue take their mind off themselves. It is the most self-absorbed and least constructive activity imaginable.
Once I get my pension, I am just gonna retreat to my apartment in Des Moines, and then I'm just gonna jerk off and smoke Newports until Yellowstone does us all in, THAT's my 5-year plan!

I tried to pursuade him to get more involved in student politics, but he just sits in his room jerking off and smoking Newports like these things don't affect him!

Get the Jerk off and smoke Newports mug.
A state of X (adult life for example) where no serious effort is urgent, or even needed anymore.
College kids talk about how they want a degree so they can shake things up and change the world, but like most people, deep down they just work towards a life at cruising altitude, and then that idealism fades just like yours or mine.

Once I've paid off my loans and can live life at a cruising altitude, I will at least consider having a child

Get the cruising altitude mug.
When referring to an issue that has has sturred up controversy and conflict, you call it '(X)gate' to both distance yourself from it, and to imply that you think the issue has been blown out of proportion.

For example a neighbour-feud over whose lawn should host the common garbage-can. In that case, the wife/wives could refer to the feud as 'garbage-gate'.
Eversince 'Garbage-gate' the two of them have been avoiding each other at all costs.

We were suppose to do a story on this issue, but then Stephanie-gate came along and everyone just turned their attention to that because it was easier to pick sides I guess.
