Originally from Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare, after the prologue where your character gets his arm cut off by a huge ass helicopter piece and your homie being left behind to explode in that helicopter, you go to the graveyard to pay your last respects. (AW Prologue) The game tells you to pay respects with F, and that's how it became a meme

The first campaign mission of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. In this mission you get super sick exo boots that gives you Jump Boost III. After fighting with some bad guys you enter a heli with your homie but something goes wrong and ur homie pushes you out of the heli. After a bit the heli explodes and one part of it comes FLYING to your arm and literally cuts it clean off, F for that guy's arm. Then you go to a funeral that tells you to press f to pay respects (F). Then you get invited to Atlas and the story continues on, (btw you get a prosthetic arm)
