RLDS

/acronym/ -- Reformed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Splinter group formed after the leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) was forced to eliminate PolyGamy as church doctrine. Federal forces were threatened to be used to force a new state constitution if the Church Leaders declined to abolish PolyGamy in the Utah Territories. RLDS members continue to practice PolyGamy in defiance of federally mandated bigamy laws.

Ted has two wives, Jan and Ruth. PolyGyny is not legal in any of the states or territories of the US, but some adherents are said to live in Utah and Idaho.
