The politically-correct term for killing an animal due to either incurable disease, harmful behavior that can't be corrected, or unlikely chance of survival. Usually pertains to pets.
Don't send that cat to that animal shelter, that'll end up being put to sleep, there's a no-kill shelter west of here.

Get the put to sleep mug.
Among Filipinos, to imply someone is an 'alumnus' or 'graduate' of University of Recto (alternatively, Recto University) is to say their educational attainment is phony, fabricated, or comes from a diploma mill.

This term comes from the notorious reputation of C. M. Recto Avenue in Manila as a haven for document, ID, passport and diploma forgery, manipulation and duplication. All with frighteningly accurate workmanship.
Don't hire that guy, man. I read his CV and transcript of records, he's a graduate from University of Recto.

Get the university of recto mug.
Turncoats, party switchers, any action by politicians done obviously for self gain, fame and nothing else related to public service with favors or exchange perceived to be involved.
By filing that case everyone knows is bullshit after receiving budget for so-called projects, it became painfully obvious that senator for many years degraded into a mere political prostitute.

Get the political prostitute mug.
In an argument, it is exploiting someone's logic trail and using the exact same logic trail against them, often modified to use counterpart objects of comparison and/or contrast.
In regular conversations, it is often used as call to action.
Argumentative:
Man 1: One of the ideas explored sometimes was to take useful items and somehow corrupt them and make them unusable/impractical and pass it off as art. Anyways, this guy is about 100 years too late with this.
Man 2: Using that logic, we should all stop making art at all because we're all 41,000 years too late with it.

She explains that it’s okay to call white people “crackers” because it’s a term slaves used to describe whites. So using that logic, she shouldn’t be offended if a racist white person calls her the “n” word. After all, that’s how the white slave owners referred to the slaves.

Conversational:
Batman gets his name from a fear of bats. Using that logic, what's your superhero name?

Get the using that logic mug.
