Scrabose

Having an extensive vocabulary, typically of words up to eight letters in length, that proves beneficial when competing in games of Scrabble. (Comes from "Verbose"; See also: "Scrabosity.")

I don't want to play Scrabble with Brandan - he's way too scrabose an opponent.

Cassandra Syndrome

1) The condition of speaking the truth and having no one believe you.

2) The condition of being able to predict the future, be it the outcome of a particular event, or the reactions of others to the same event, and having no one believe your prophecy until it transpires.

3) Being able to see or understand things long before others, often resulting in them coming to the same conclusions long after your own initial analysis.

(All definitions come from Cassandra, the queen in Greek mythology who was appointed by Apollo with an inability to lie, yet cursed by having no one believe her prophecies.)

Yaktivist

1. Someone who is all talk and no action. (Comes from "yakking" and "activist," and the expression "All yak and no sack"); The opposite of a pragmatist.

2. Someone with a penchant for conjuring false hopes.

3. An expert at bluffing.

1. "She keeps saying she'll quit her job, but her co-workers know she's just a yaktivist."

2. "Whenever his father promised to take him to the zoo, he had a feeling his father was just being a yaktivist."

3. "He always wins at poker because no one can tell when he's got a good hand and when he's being a yaktivist."

Cat person

1. Someone with a sexual preference towards females.
2. A heterosexual male.
3. A lesbian.

I always though he was gay, but it turns out he's actually a cat person.

Death to the formula, death to the wack

1. A warcry against ones' enemies decrying stagnation, conformity, and inferiority; Essentially, "Death to your worries, enemies, and general lameness"

2. A call-and-response used as a greeting, toast, or affirmation

Party #1 offers glass: "Death to the formula"
Party #2 clinks glass in return: "Death to the wack."
