A misspelling of the word Xerophilous, meaning adapted to a dry arid climate.

That or the boat me and my friends made in Japanese class out of a mini cerial box, an amp can, some graph paper, and lots of glue and tape.
We finally put the S.S.Xerophilus on a remote control car! And we gave it a rocket engine! Look at it sail the seas!
