wokenesia

A disorder associated with wokeness. It is characterized by forgetting all relevant information to a topic because the headline du jour has ignited a wokespasm; and, other relevant facts are seemingly forgotten.

People who try too hard to demonstrate their wokeness often suffer from wokenesia because they hyper-focus on the latest outrage without looking at the big picture.
Early in the #metoo movement, a lot of people suffering from wokenesia pressured Al Franken to resign because the scale of Al's infringement was treated as if it were as severe as a rapists; even an accused rapist gets a fair trial that considers all of the facts and other contributions to society before weighing an appropriate punishment, if found guilty. Some might say Al was also suffering from wokenesia when he succumbed to the demands.
