An idea and website of the combination of Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's Xbox 360 that sprung up following the events of E3 2006. Sparked by the alarming announcement of the PS3's $600 price tag, gamers realised that they could buy both an Xbox 360 and a Wii for the same amount.
Since then what started as a small idea has grown into a website (www.wii60.com) and forum communtiy with a large fanbase. Contrary to popular belief, Wii60 is not comprised of a bunch of Sony-bashing fanboys but a group of gamers who like both the 360 and Wii

Backlash from the announced price of the Playstation 3 caused many people including Microsoft and Nintendo to endorse buying both systems because you would get an arguably better gaming experience for a certainly lower price. Thus, the Wii and the X-Box 360 names were combined to coin this term.

A union between Wii and Xbox 360 fanboys, primarily out of spite towards Sony, they follow the idea that buying a Wii and Xbox 360 equals the Ps3 is price and is greater in value. They often use the Exclusive games on the Xbox 360 as a crutch to "combat" the Ps3,many view it as a one sided union with the 360 having a larger fanbase and more power.
