twerpitude

Attitude observed in preteen and adolescent youth as they progress from elementary school into the middle school grades. Female students frequently exhibit more twerpitude than their male peers and at an earlier age. Twerpitude is especially severe in grades 7, 8 and 9, during which time it seems to peak and then level off as they near college age.
Parent, "I was thinking of chaperoning the middle school dance."
Daughter, "Oh my god! if you do you, you'll ruin my life. How could you possibly be such an insensitive moron."
Parent, "Hey, lighten up with the twerpitude."
