Amalgamation of "tourist" and "terrorist," a tourerist is a person or group of persons who exhibit reprehensible behavior while visiting a foreign country.

a) I watched in horror as a fat, unwashed American wearing a confederate-flag t-shirt shouted, "Look honey, it's the moaner-lisa!" and shoved past thirty people to gaze upon the famous painting. I thought, 'what a tourerist.'

b) Bob's cousin Heinrich was visiting from Germany, and could talk about nothing but how America is repressed, and greedy, and fat, and lazy. I told Bob his cousin was a damn tourerist.

c) When you're a guest in a foreign country or culture, you should learn the customs and some of the language, just as the locals should gently correct the guests if they commit any faux pas. If the locals do not do this, the they're letting the tourerists win.

suburban tourist 

A douchebag who drives around the suburbs at half the legal speed limit, looking at houses that he and his stuck up yuppie wife would like to purchase. Suburban tourists usually travel in groups of twos or threes in late model Dodge Caravans or VW Jettas, and have a tendency to stop randomly to point and discuss the latest shade of any butt-ugly pastel coloured siding they might encounter. They also love to stare at you when you're mowing the lawn, as they seem to think their stares and finger pointing are invisible to anyone outside their car.

I was late coming home for dinner today. There was a hoard of suburban tourists driving down Rutherford Road. FUCK ME!

Someone who came to 4chan's /pol/ for explicitly political reasons, most likely during the 2016 or 2020 U.S. presidential election. Despite the fact that /pol/ was designed as a containment board, the election tourist will inevitably venture outside /pol/ and try to bring up political affairs on boards and threads that have nothing to do with politics. One of the single biggest factors in the decline of 4chan over the past 6-8 years.
