A staudinger is someone who purposely gets lost in order to escape everyone who loves him. He makes plans with his friends and then goes missing for weeks or months without contact with anyone. Even the police have to look for him. When he returns, he gets an attitude with everyone who cares about him as if he did nothing wrong.

A: Don't be a staudinger (said to someone who goes missing).

B: Why don't you just go staudinger and get lost.

Helsinki

People in Helsinki call their city "Stadi", the town, so Stadingrad comes from there.

There's so much snow here that you can't get out of this city by car, by bus or by train. I guess I'm trapped in Stadingrad.
