A common social phenomenon- A 20-something male computer geek with a $1,000 mouse and a bad car who still lives rent-free in his mom's house (attic, basement, or childhood bedroom). Although often of high IQ and with a degree, they are commonly underemployed. This condition is rare among females. Social interaction is limited to people who will come over at midnight.

The sociogeek went into culture shock when his mother threw him out and he got his first electric bill. Sociogeeks are not environmentalists because they never go outside.

Sociogeology

The study of human societies and institutions as if they were geological formations: slow-moving, incredibly powerful, and changing on timescales that dwarf individual human lives. Where sociology sees movements and actors, sociogeology sees strata of class, tectonic plates of political ideology, and the slow erosion of traditions. A government isn't an administration; it's a mountain range formed by millennia of pressure. A cultural norm isn't a preference; it's a bedrock that is nearly impossible to shift.

Example: "Trying to change the corporate culture there is an exercise in sociogeology. You're not moving a team; you're trying to divert a continental plate."

In a manner that assumes the listener will intuitively grasp the generative logic of a social or conceptual system without explicit guidance, prioritization, or clarification.
