a military slang term coined during the Vietnam War by American infantry, referring to the dropping of 250-lb. Mk-81 Snakeye bombs ("snake") and 500-lb. M-47 napalm canisters ("nape") on a position
American soldier 1: "Dude, I just got off the radio! They're droppin' snake and nape!"

American soldier 2: "Let's GTFO!"
