To slackout is to drink excessive amounts and forget most of the evening's occurrences.These periods of lost memory were named after an individual from North Bay, Ontario, to whom these are frequent.

"Oh man, I slacked out so bad last night."

"Ya, that was a pretty bad slackout. I dont remember anything."

"Are you slacking out right now?"
