secondglance

Secondglance, all one word. Means a word or phrase, usually a pun (play-on-words) that is deliberately designed to be discrete or go unnoticed. Those who take a "second glance" at it, reading the whole message, then get the pun and hopefully have a smile or chuckle.

I can't believe how many people get a smile on their faces or laugh at my Secondglance t-shirt.

Homely or ordinary looking person someone else wouldn't look at twice. Something which is of little value or consequence.

Bill looks like a frog and he's not worth a second glance. Sarah is the quiet "plain Jane" at school and she's not worth a second glance. The statistics report is all screwed up and it's not worth a second glance.
