repremand 

Refers to where a higher-court judge sends a case back down to a lower court for further action. and includes a stiff rebuke to the officials of said lower court for what he considers to be a deplorable miscarriage of justice that they had previously handed out.
On appeal, the Supreme Court repremanded the case back to the state supreme court for judgement in compliance with the S.C.'s findings on case-law.

A reprihand is a form of police punishment in Australia whereby an offender is given a backhanded slap in the face for their wrongdoing.
Nick has been found guilty of a motor vehicle offence. This offence is not serious enough for him to go to jail but he is sentenced to receive a reprihand.
