Prison customs, norms, beliefs, environment, atmosphere, lifestyle, social interaction, inmate code and values. In addition to inmates, correctional officers and staff interaction with each other.
Examples of prison culture: Inmates not snitching on another inmate. Inmates showing respect for another inmates property. Underground economy of trading goods and services in prison. Keeping your bunk area clean if living in a two person cell. Disrespecting another inmate can lead to violence against the person.
