A phajchitzin is a story of approximately 35,000 - 40,000 words, it is used when a story is desputed to whether is is considered a novel or a novella.

In latent terms, a phajchitzin can be paralled to a bisexual, in between a straight, and a homosexual.
Student#1: I thought Chronicle of a Death Foretold was a novel.
Student#2: I disagree, I consider this story to be a novella.
Student#3: Why don't we just call it a phajchitzin and stop arguing.
Student#1: That dispute was easily solved.
Student#2: Yes I agree, good thing that word exists.
