Obscurley (adverb) is defined as in a way that is difficult or impossible to understand, explain, or identify or in a deliberately enigmatic manner. (2) An Alternative Rock / Indie Duet based out of Portland, Oregon.

As we sat in the park watching the ducks my dog smiled at me obscurley, but refused to tell me what he had in mind.

PERMANENT OBSCURITY

PERMANENT OBSCURITY, or the full title: "PERMANENT OBSCURITY: Or a Cautionary Tale of Two Girls and Their Misadventures with Drugs, Pornography and Death by Dolores Santana (as told to Richard Perez)'', published in 2010 by Ludlow Press, is neo-sexploitation novel and dark comedy written by New York Times contributor, Richard Perez, author of The Losers' Club, a novel set in the East Village in the 1990's, which has been translated into three languages: Italian , Turkish, and Korean. The story of PERMANENT OBSCURITY, broken into three parts: "The Kinky Hook," "Strange Hungers," "No Man's Land" -- takes place in New York City's East Village (circa the Bush era), and it chronicles the rise and fall of a unique and intense relationship. The main characters, Dolores and Serena, two chemically dependent, down-and-out artists set out to take control of their lives by making a fetish-noir/femdom movie. Of course, things don't exactly turn out as planned.

Fade Into Obscurity 

The point in which someone was once famous or well-known, has ceased being relevant in pop culture - leaving them only to be occasionally referenced to in obscure references or jokes, making them fodder for the "where are they now?" file

This usually follows subsequently after that famous person's final attempt at retaining relevance in the cultural spotlight fails miserably, also known as jumping the shark. This is especially true for one hit wonders.

The quintessential example of this would be Milli Vanilli. Once successful in the early 90's, it was later revealed that the music produced was not their own. After this revelation, the public ceased caring about the group; and they have opted to disappear from the public eye out of emasculated embarassment, thus their fade into obscurity.

Other examples are Spuds Mackenzie, Fred Durst, Vanilla Ice.

They are all from the Indo-European English language, which diffused primarily from the growth of the British Empire, international jobs with this language, and it being a common trade language. This phrase specifically means that, supposedly a noun, has vanished or disappeared into the state of being unknown both literally and figuratively.

2. Indistinct: Not able to be seen or heard distinctly.

3. Unimportant or unknown: not important or well-known.

4. Known to few people: Unknown to most people, e.g. because of being hidden or remote.

5. Dim: dark, shadowy, or clouded.

Camera = Latin for “room”
Obscura = Latin for “dark”

Go into a very dark room on a bright day. Make a small hole in a window cover and look at the opposite wall. What do you see? Magic! There in full color and movement will be the world outside the window — upside down! This magic is explained by a simple law of the physical world. Light travels in a straight line and when some of the rays reflected from a bright subject pass through a small hole in thin material they do not scatter but cross and reform as an upside down image on a flat surface held parallel to the hole. This law of optics was known in ancient times.
