norghting

The period of time between 2:00am and 6:00am when you should be in bed, but you're up chatting with your loser friends, or some obscure chinese or australian person (or an obscure american if you are from either of those countries) on some forsaken message service such as IRC, ICQ, MSN, AOL, or Yahoo!. It's not quite Morning and it's not quite Night, but you're still up doing god-knows-what. You're always confused on whether you should say "Good Night" or "Good Morning", so here's a new one for ya: (see example)
Good Norghting.

Nightingale syndrome

The Florence Nightingale effect is a situation where a caregiver develops romantic feelings for their patient. Many often misunderstand the term to mean the opposite; that is, a patient falling in love with the caregiver as a result of interpreting an amiable bedside manner as affection.
See Florence_Nightingale_effect on Wikipedia, often confused with Nightingale syndrome (which is something else entirely).

Nightingale Pasta

A phrase that is used when more than one neighbors sexual activities can be heard at the same time, giving the impression that a nightingale is dying in boiling agony. The common response to this layer of awkwardness is to eat pasta.
I swear all my neighbors were going at it last night...so I had to bust out the old nightingale pasta cuz I don't have a girlfriend.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
