Clothing is rave attire (bright and neon colors) plus a mask.

Person 1: Hey, are you going to the masquerave tonight?

Person 2: Yeah!

Person 1: What're you wearing to it?

Person 2: Neon orange and black striped stockings, an orange tutu, a black corset, black ballet shoes, and a mask I made.

Person 1: Cool! See you there!

When you act as if you are a better-looking person than what you look like in real life by dressing smartly because your face mask conceals your facial flaws, or you pretend to be a plain Jane via a face mask to avoid or minimize any public stare by dressing sloppily.
