Kikongo or Kongo is a Bantu language spoken by the Kongos (Bakongo in Kikongo) living in the Republic of Congo (in the southwest as far as Brazzaville), in the Democratic Republic of Congo (in the provinces of Kongo-Central and Kinshasa), and in southern Gabon and Angola (in the north of the country and the enclave of Cabinda).
