Noun. A nerd who believes himself to be socially superior due to the fact that his obsessions are shared by one or more other people. Arguably the most dangerous form of nerd, because they steadfastly believe that nerdery is something to be proud of, which it demonstrably is not.

A nerd who is a jock. Easily overlooked for his reference as a nerd.

Student in the chess club who studies for hours on every test and quiz who also is the running back for the varsity football team, or other sport position on a varsity team.
