Internap is the name of an IT Infrastructure solutions company founded in 1996. The formal name is: Internap Network Services Corporation. The name of the company is a combination of the words "Internet" and "Network Access Points - NAP."

Internap offers IT Infrastructure services including route-optimized enterprise IP, TCP acceleration and a global content delivery network with colocation, managed hosting and public / private cloud services.
