software that installs other products that the user would not expect to be installed as a default option. This includes any 3rd pary addons or 1st party products that are unrelated to the current install.

Examples of installware practices:
Programs installing browser bars
iTunes installing Safari as an "update"

A term commonly used by people who are computer illiterate and completely inept at using the internet and thus are forced to call technical support.

Agent: "Thank you for calling the internet help desk"
Cletus: "Uuuhhhh... hello? I can't get onto the internet!"
Agent: "What seems to be the problem with it?"
Cletus: "I can't get it installated..."

Software or service that was vibe-coded in less than a day but looks impressively polished and trustworthy — the coding equivalent of instant fame.

Example: "Check out this dashboard I made — total instantware, took me one coffee break but it looks like a real product."
