1)to have a female friend translate what another female said so that your male brain can understand what was REALLY said

2)to have a female friend pre-screen and edit your words BEFORE you send them to a female of consequence

Dan was going to give the following note to his girlfriend, Michelle, on the occasion of their one-year anniversary: “You’re coo. Let’s get it on tonight after you cook for me.”

But luckily, Dan’s friend, Alicia, was able to girlate before he sent it to Michelle so it read: “Love cannot not be gift-wrapped into a box. But if you were love, I would want to unwrap you and hug you for the rest of our lives!”

Used by a chavvy male to specify a female friend or best friend, who is not specifically a girlfriend, possibly to boast that they aren't shallow towards the other gender.

Unfortunately it says the opposite as any non-chav bloke will just say friend and specify female if later required.
