unnecessary words that exist only to prove that the user of the word has a larger vocabulary than the lisiteners. especially when simpler, easier words exist.

hadar- "i say sir, that party was the antithesis of a good time."
leo- "what the fuck is antithesis?"
hadar- "it means opposite."
leo- "so why not just say opposite, dumbass?"

here antithesis is a clear frivolotive.

Definition: Characterized by rapid, unpredictable shifts in mood or behavior triggered by completely insignificant or petty matters. It describes someone or something that is explosively reactive over things that don’t actually matter.

Example: "The office environment became frivolatile when the manager threw a tantrum over the specific shade of paint used in the closet."
