To use one's relationship as friend's, or liked acquaintance, to gain favor in a circumstance that would lead to a favorable outcome. Typically used when one person holds some sort of authority or power over the other person.

A socially acceptable form of manipulation.
The student used enfavorment with the professor, in hopes to obtain a higher grade in the class.

The staff member bought gifts for her boss, in hopes that the enfavorment would influence a positive outcome of her yearly performance review.
