A reference to to people who pretend they're Alex Trebek, host of Jeopardy, but are actually total retards. Synonymous with dumbass and dumb-ass but generally reserved for nerds pretending to be authorities on particular topics.

That dumbalex spent 10 minutes trying to convince me that global warming is a liberal hoax.

Someone who talks like a smart aleck, but their life is on a downward trajectory, esp regarding asset accrual, career opportunities, and peer level friends.

Larry moved to California full of ambition amd degrees but ended up in love with the sound of his own voice cracking wise, silly games, pal'd around with lazy dumbalecks until forgot he was there to build a career.

Dumbflexing

When a person low-key flexes/shows off about something but attempts to play dumb by disguising it with something totally mundane and unrelated to the thing that they secretly want to show off.

Example: when a girl posts a photo on Instagram with her hand on the steering wheel of her car with the caption "a bee bit my finger, ouch", yet her intention is to show you the Mercedes Benz star on the steering to show what whip she's driving.

Chad: Hey Dexter come get your boy. He over here dumbflexing like he never veen on a plane before.

2. The practice of introducing complexity to a task or problem, making it appear more elaborate or challenging than it truly is, usually to justify excessive efforts or resources.

- To impress the board, the project team embraced dumbplexity, weaving a web of complex algorithms for tasks that required straightforward solutions.

- Charles introduced a software design for review that was full of dumbplexity, missing the simple ways the problem could be solved with available services in order to just use new technologies that make the platform bloated and unnecessarily complicated.
