Docfight (noun, verb)

/'dok - fite/

1. (noun) A knowledge-centric battle between two ambitious medical students to determine which is intellectually superior, generally revolving around the diagnosis and/or treatment of extremely rare illnesses. Often instigated by a hierarchically-superior medical professional assaulting an intellectually inferior colleague with a battery of medical questions as a form of teaching, which is informally referred to as "pimping" due to the repeated violation the poor saps are subjected to. The two docfighting students, sensing weakness, will then pounce and begin to shout out the correct answers.

2. (verb) The act of engaging in a docfight.

Etymology: Derived from the analogous noun "cockfight."
Did you hear about when Dave and Kelly got into a docfight about the physical findings in Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome? The attending was pimping poor Steve, but of course he had no clue; Dave quickly said intra-abdominal testes and scant pubic hair, but then out of nowhere, Kelly whipped out enlarged breasts! Needless to say, we were all stunned.
