A far-right southern white nationalist/racist person who is republican who is like a Dixiecrat of the 1950-1960's. Many Neo-Confederates today fit in this category.

dixiecrats 

noun - An old-tyme Democrat from the south, not affiliated with the present day Democratic party dominant in the northeast and west coast. Most dixie-crats opposed civil rights, were often corrupt and promoted a religious agenda. The party is almost extinct today, though a few still exist as "DINOS"

Al Gore and Bill Clinton are too progressive to be considered Dixiecrats.

Also known as Dixie is the greatest region of America and does include Missouri and Kentucky.

A nick-name for democrats of the southern states, like Mississippi, Louisiana, etc.

Most famous of which would be Zell Miller, a southern Democrat (Of Georgia, I believe) who spoke at the Republican National Convention.

Dixiecratia 

The Southern United States during segregation and now it applies to the former Dixiecrats or Southern Democrats that are still living and holding on to their beliefs.

Dixiecon 

A white, largely Southern, social conservative opposed to social progress, civil rights for nonwhites, and political equality. They were the old Dixiecrats who have switched to the Republican party. They're now also known as Dixiecans.
Characteristics of a Dixiecon include: overt or thinly veiled white supremacy; in-your-face sexism; an outward show of patriotism by flag waving while at the same time evading taxes and military service; religous fundamentalism; and (active or passive) allegiance with white supremacist hate groups, better known as domestic terrorist organizations.

Dixiecons have this country held hostage to their small-minded, redneck views. They're trying to pass unconstitutional voting laws requiring photo ID. They claim it will reduce voter fraud (read: large minority turnout), but in fact, it's designed to keep poor people, especially the elderly, disabled, and minorites, from voting out the Dixiecon mafia.
