Someone who you don't really know, but with whom you're friends on Facebook, and whose life is clearly falling apart. You continue reading their status updates out of morbid curiosity, and for the guilty pleasure of watching a slow-motion trainwreck.

"Hey, have you heard Becky's pregnant *again*? And that her fiancé just broke up with her? And that she's apparently now converting to scientology?"

"Who's Becky again?"

"I'm not sure, she's one of my disaster friends."

Disaster Friends

When two or more people generally dislike each other and want nothing to do with them. However, the antics of one will invariably rope the other(s) into it, and they are essentially forced to go along with it in order to preserve their sanity, life, or both.

"Hear about what happened with Fred and Michael the other day?"

"Those two hate each other, don't they? What happened?"

"Shenanigans is what happened. Fred needed a ride somewhere and Michael of all people was the only one available for taxi service. Apparently, Michael needed to do an 'emergency' errand mid-way, and it devolved into an hour long blunder around town. Fred had no choice than to help him with it as quickly as possible so he could just get to where he needed to go."

"I should frankly be surprised that they didn't murder each other at some point during all of that..."

"Heh. Disaster friends, those two are."
