The nimble-footed dance executed while avoiding stepping in dog shit. A high-quality crapscotch typically results when the offending matter is already well-distributed and only lately coming to the attention of the unfortunate crapscotcher.

(Etymology - derived "hotscotch", a children's game in which a player hops on one foot over the lines from section to section of a diagram marked on the pavement).

"Lordy, what's that dreadful smell!?"

"I know, I've just got back from walking Rover and I ended up crapscotching in the lane. I don't know how I'm going to get this out of the tread - it's on both shoes."
